Inspiration and Process:
My ideas are inspired by the natural world, particularly birds
and marine life. I’m also interested in rendering everyday objects
for still life; my collections of ‘things’ which have personal meaning
to me, studio tables and tools, fruit, a bowl or various objects that
prompt exploration.
My original idea at the start of a painting invariably evolves as
the painting progresses. I find it exciting to push and edit, create
changes and incorporate something unexpected. My hope is to
keep the imagery fresh and inspiring, both for me as well as those
who view it.
