Paula has described the four paintings in the top two rows: "These are from Coastal Notes,
a series of 12 paintings, completed in 2024, which were inspired by my walks to the sunrise
in New England. On each walk I photograph the tide pools and rocks. One day, I was taken by
the sounds of the water as the tide rose and ebbed. I thought each painting's title should
evoke the specific musical movement that matched the feeling I got from the sounds and
the resulting rhythm of the painting."
