Tax-holiday Weekend, 2026

$6,000

Massachusetts has designated Saturday & Sunday, August 8 & 9,
as 2026's tax-holiday weekend.

That weekend's tax-exemption applies to any item list-priced at $2,500
or below.
However, at Alpers Gallery we've hatched a plan for extending
the Commonwealth's magnanimity.

From now, July 17, through Friday August 7, when you purchase an artwork
list-priced $4,000 or less, we'll sweeten the deal by giving you a gift certificate
worth 6.25% of your purchase.
In other words, while the purchase you make
between 7/17/26 and 8/7/26 is taxable, we'll match your sales tax assessment
with a gift certificate of equal value.

To qualify for the gift certificate, you must:
  • pay the full list price of the artwork as a one-time payment
  • make your payment by cash, check, or a Venmo account linked to your checking account (and, therefore, fee-free)
  • apply the gift certificate to a future purchase from the gallery's collection

The gift certificate:
  • has no expiration date
  • can not be redeemed for cash
  • is fully transferrable (gift it to a friend)
  • maxes out at $250 for purchases higher than $4,000

If you have any questions about this offer, please don't hesitate to ask.
